This Cookie Policy explains how Global Money uses cookies and similar browser technologies, such as LocalStorage and IndexedDB, when you use our website and app. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Global Money displays no advertising and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.

2. Strictly Necessary Cookies

If you create an account, our authentication provider, Firebase (Google LLC), sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies and session tokens to keep you signed in securely between visits. These are essential for the account feature to function and cannot be switched off while remaining signed in; if you prefer not to have them set, simply use Global Money without creating an account.

3. Local Storage & IndexedDB

Most of Global Money's personalization does not use cookies at all — it uses your browser's LocalStorage and IndexedDB instead. This includes your selected language, light/dark theme, favorite currencies, price alerts, conversion history, and portfolio holdings. If you are not signed in, none of this data is sent to our servers; it stays on your device until you clear your browser data or uninstall the app.

4. No Advertising or Tracking Cookies

Global Money does not run ads and does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party cross-site tracking of any kind. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.

5. Third-Party Services

Loading web fonts (Google Fonts) and account services (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, operated by Google LLC) may involve requests to third-party domains that can set their own technical cookies under their respective privacy policies. Public market-data requests to providers such as CoinGecko, Binance, Open Exchange Rates, the Frankfurter API, and metals-price APIs do not include any personal information about you and do not set tracking cookies in the app.

6. Managing & Clearing Your Data

You can clear cookies and locally stored data at any time through your browser's settings, which will reset your language, theme, and any locally saved favorites or history back to defaults. If you have an account, you can also:

Sign out, which ends your authentication session and removes the related sign-in cookie.
Reset your saved app data to a clean, empty state from the Danger Zone in “My Account”.
Permanently delete your account, which removes your synced cloud data entirely.

7. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for legal reasons. Continued use of Global Money after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
