This Privacy Policy explains what information Global Money collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Last updated: June 17, 2026If you use Global Money without creating an account, we do not collect your name, phone number, location, or any personally identifiable information. We never ask for banking details, card numbers, or exchange/wallet credentials, and the app has no access to any of your financial accounts.
Creating an account is optional. If you choose to register — by email and password, or by continuing with Google — we collect and store the following via Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google's secure backend infrastructure):
This data is used solely to operate your account and sync your preferences. We do not sell, rent, or share it with advertisers.
Whether or not you have an account, your language, theme, favorites, alerts, conversion history, portfolio holdings, and watchlist are saved locally in your browser's storage (LocalStorage and IndexedDB) on your own device. If you are not signed in, this data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser data permanently deletes it.
To display live rates, Global Money fetches public market data from third-party providers, including CoinGecko and Binance for cryptocurrency and parallel-market data, Open Exchange Rates and the Frankfurter API for fiat currency rates, and a metals price API for precious metal spot prices. These requests do not include any personal information about you. Account services (authentication, database, hosting of synced data) are provided by Firebase, operated by Google LLC. Use of any third-party service is also subject to that provider's own privacy policy.
Global Money may use limited, anonymous analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve performance. These analytics cannot identify you personally and are never sold or shared with advertisers. Global Money displays no ads and uses no advertising trackers.

You may also clear your browser's local storage at any time to remove locally saved data, or simply stop using an account and continue using the app without one.
Global Money is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account without appropriate consent, contact us so we can delete it.
All requests to our data providers and account services are made over secure HTTPS/TLS connections. Account passwords are never stored in plain text. Global Money is a read-only information tool — it cannot access, move, or hold your funds, and it never asks for exchange account credentials, private keys, or seed phrases.
Exchange rates, cryptocurrency prices, and especially the parallel (black) market rate estimate are provided for general informational purposes only and may differ from rates available to you in practice. Nothing in the app should be relied upon as financial, investment, or legal advice.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Continued use of Global Money after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
